#PARENTING: Website shares "Mom's Tips for HAPPINESS..." Let's take a look!

What helps you feel better when you’re having a bad day or feeling discouraged? A thread on the British parenting site Mumsnet has moms sharing “life’s top tips” for happiness. The mom who started the post kicks things off by writing, “If you’re feeling low, do something for someone else. Not because you have to, but because you can.”

These little nuggets of wisdom may keep you motivated when you’re just not feeling it:

●    “Don't waste mind space on worrying what other mums think of you.”

●    “Drink from the best glasses. Use the fine china, carry the expensive handbag- any day and every day.”

●    “Never marry anybody you'd be afraid to get divorced from.”

●    “The fear of doing something is always worse than just getting on and doing it.”

●    “Save up for and spend on things you really, really want, whether that be a year's backpacking, education or a lovely home. Be ruthlessly frugal about everything else, including booze, boys, cars, gadgets and clothes you won't wear more than five times.”

●    “Pay to outsource anything you can afford to! (Cleaning, food shopping delivery, ironing etc)”

●    “Don't make any big decisions when you're hungry, angry, lonely or tired (HALT).”

●    “Always take help if it's offered”

●    “Being able to get along with people is a career superpower.”

●    “Don't make life harder than it is”

●    “Don’t compare someone else’s showreel to your cutting room floor.”

●    “SPOIL YOURSELF, life's too short to wait for the perfect day to feel good.”

●    “Always always listen to your gut. If it feels wrong it is. If your brain is shrieking at you not to do something, don't do it.”

●    “Never take other people's behavior personally”

●    “Don't borrow trouble from tomorrow. I am prone to overthinking and micro-managing and this is my mantra to stop myself!”
