High school teacher Colton Major had no idea he’d go viral when he started reading the wildest parent emails he’d collected over the years. After seeing another TikTok creator share similar messages, he realized he had an entire archive of unbelievable notes from parents — ranging from funny to downright weird. Some parents complained about how he taught World War II, others insisted the Cold War should be renamed, and one even panicked over a routine snow‑day email. Major, who teaches 11th grade in Georgia, says the experience highlighted just how much patience and compassion teachers bring to the job every day.
“Teaching can be overwhelming at times, and some of these emails made you question everything you thought you knew,” he says. “But sharing them publicly turned the chaos into something funny and relatable — and people responded to that.” They sure did — his videos have racked up millions of views, surprising even him.
