There might be more to the infamous Titanic door scene than meets the eye.

According to People, Kate Winslet, who played Rose DeWitt Bukater in the film, revealed new information about the widely-debated scene during an advanced screening Q & A for her upcoming film, Lee, on Monday (September 23). Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio, who played Jack Dawson in the iconic blockbuster, actually filmed the scene in a shallow tank.

"Well that was quite an awkward tank ... because to burst the bubble, it was waist height at that time."

Winslet also noted that she went to the bathroom "regularly" as they attempted to create the illusion of Jack dying and sinking to the ocean floor.

"So first of all, I was regularly like, 'Can I just go for a pee?' And then I get up, get off the door, walk to the edge of the tank, sort of 20 feet away and I literally have to fling my leg over and climb up and come and get back on the door again. It's terrible. Anyway, yeah. So it was waist-high. Leo I'm afraid to say was kneeling down."

The Holiday actress continued, describing the tank.

"Actually the thing that was amazing about the edges of the tank was it was an infinity tank. So there was constant water rushing and you could hear the constant sound of water."

Winslet also unveiled that she was unable to make Titanic's December 1997 premiere due to a series of unforeseen circumstances, and later snuck into a theater in New York City with a few girlfriends to see it for the first time.

"I mean, it's a horrible thing to even think about now. And obviously I wasn't gonna miss that, so I sort of missed everything around the release of Titanic, which I don't know, is that the universe's way of protecting me or just reminding me to do the things that matter?"

While the actress let the public in on a few filming intricacies, fans were not made privy to the size of the door, which continues to be debated among film buffs across the globe.

Catch Winslet in Lee, in theaters this Friday (September 27)!
