New reports surrounding Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck's marriage indicate that there has been trouble in the relationship for much longer than previously thought, with sources claiming that their marriage has been "over for months."

Sources claim to Page Six that the "On the Floor" singer and the Argo director have been apart since March but that they have been trying to put on a united front in the months that followed, especially as Affleck is "very protective of Jennifer."

Lopez recently enjoyed some "breathing room" as she took a vacation to Europe with friends, leaving Affleck behind in the states as he reportedly moved all of his belongings out of the $60 million Los Angeles mansion they shared as they prepare to sell the home around one year after first purchasing it.

Since sparking rumors of a rift in May after Affleck was seen without his wedding ring and Lopez "liked" a cryptic post about unhealthy relationships, there have been conflicting reports regarding the status of their marriage. Sources previously claimed that despite "tension" in the marriage, they were "not over yet," while the pair have been photographed together wearing the wedding bands.

Lopez canceled her This Is Me... Live tour in May "to be with her children, family and close friends," telling fans that she was "completely heartsick and devastated about letting [them] down" but that the decision was "absolutely necessary."
