Video: Race Truck Engine Blows up During an Event in Ogden

Industrial Injection Diesel Performance of Salt Lake City was at an event in Ogden, Utah over the weekend with their race truck. They were there to compete at a dyno event that measures the horsepower output of an engine. While on the dyno, the truck pushed to reach 3,000 horsepower and then things turned very bad. The engine blew up, sending flames in all directions while splitting the engine in two. According to those at the event, no one was seriously injured.

From the video description:

"Industrial injection diesel performance was aiming to hit 3,000 horsepower at the 'weekend on the edge' dyno event. after hitting 2,920 he decided to put a bigger nitrous set up in it, after one more test run they changed the tune and went for the big run where you see the engine split in half and blow up with the top half of the engine going 2 feet over the roof of the truck."
