It's a fairly simple visual for the chart-topper as fans catch her in a number of futuristic outfits as the four-minute clip cuts in and out of grainy footage of her in her hotel room. Elsewhere in the Grant Singer-directed video, we also see the former Fifth Harmony bandmate submerged in water as she belts the heartbreak track. It's a collage of stunning shots from beginning to end, and more or less fits the tone of the track. "Never Be the Same" is the second single off Cabello's debut album, Camila, which dropped in January.
In addition to her opening set for Swift, the 21-year-old pop star will embark on her own for her first solo headlining trek in April, which is appropriately named after the new single. For the 16-date tour, the former 5H bandmate will hit major cities including Los Angeles, New York, Chicago, Denver, Boston, London, and Toronto. She'll continue on with dates in Amsterdam, Berlin, Barcelona, and Madrid.
Back in January, Cabello said that "Never Be the Same" was one of her favorite songs off her debut LP and that she has high hopes to rework the track into a country song with none other than Sam Hunt. No word on whether or not she's been able to track down the smooth crooner, but in the meantime, scroll on below to see the pop singer shine in the official video.
