Will & Grace's return to NBC is getting real as the network has announced that the sitcom will premiere on September 28 at 9 PM.
NBC's announcement regarding the beloved sitcom arrived on Monday (June 19) and sees the comedy tucked in between The Good Place and Great News. Will & Grace's return also happens to fall into NBC's prime programming territory within the network's Thursday Must-See TV campaign, which has previously included Friends, Seinfeld and 30 Rock.
Back in May, a five-minute musical teaser for the upcoming season surfaced and saw the characters from the beloved sitcom singing up a storm as they exit a meeting about getting the ol' gang back together. Grace (Debra Messing) is a bit scared that the chemistry might be different between the foursome, but once she and Will (Eric McCormack) end up back in their old apartment, it's as if nothing ever changed.
"Will & Grace" premiered in 1998, broke boundaries on the LGBT front and was the highest rated sitcom in the 18-49 demo from 2001-05. During its time on air, the series was nominated for a total of 83 Emmy Awards, winning 16 of the titles.
