Uncle Sam Has Repaid the State $666,000 for Money Spent Reopening Our National Parks

OUR STATE HAS BEEN PARTIALLY REPAID, FOR THE MONEY -- SENT TO THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT -- TO REOPEN THE STATE'S NATIONAL PARKS.

GOVERNOR GARY HERBERT'S OFFICE SAYS ABOUT $666,000 WAS RETURNED TO THE STATE, THIS WEEK.

AFTER THE GOVERNMENT SHUTDOWN, UTAH WAS THE FIRST STATE TO PAY UNCLE SAM, TO REOPEN NATIONAL PARKS.

THE GOVERNOR AUTHORIZED SENDING $1.67-MILLION TO REOPEN THE PARKS -- AND THREE OTHER FEDERAL SITES -- FOR TEN DAYS.
