THE POWER WAS BACK ON MONDAY MORNING -- FOR THOUSANDS OF SOUTHERN UTAH RESIDENTS -- WHO WERE WITHOUT IT, FOR SEVERAL HOURS ON MOTHERS DAY, AFTER WEEKEND SNOW BLEW THROUGH.

HIGH WINDS DOWNED POWER LINES IN CEDAR CITY... AND A FRESH LAYER OF SNOW COATED MOST OF IRON COUNTY.

AT ONE POINT, NEARLY 7000 HOMES WERE WITHOUT POWER IN CEDAR CITY, WHILE ANOTHER 3600 WERE AFFECTED ACROSS SEVERAL OTHER SOUTHERN UTAH COMMUNITIES.

OFFICIALS SAY WIND GUSTS -- UP TO 55 MILES PER HOUR -- DOWNED POWER LINES... UPROOTED TREES... AND BLEW SEVERAL TRAMPOLINES OUT OF YARDS.

THE SLICK CONDITIONS ALSO LED TO A NUMBER OF ACCIDENTS, THOUGH THERE WERE NO SERIOUS INJURIES.
