Officials at the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources are blaming low water levels -- and high temperatures -- for the deaths of an estimated 600 fish, in Strawberry Reservoir, outside Heber City.

And the DWR fears more fish kills could occur in other popular Utah waterways.

State biologists say the lower water levels killg vegetation in Utah lakes, while the high temperatures reduce oxygen levels in the water.

They say that's a deadly combination for fish.
